1. Do I need any experience on LinkedIn to participate in this challenge?
You do need a LinkedIn account and personal profile to get the most out of it – this challenge is aimed at people just getting started and people that have been using the platform for a while but just not getting the results they want from it or think they could be getting more.
2. How will the challenge be delivered?
The daily challenges will be sent to you via email and also in the Private LinkedIn Group.
The daily live Q&A sessions will be live streamed on LinkedIn in the Private Group at 10:30am and 5pm every day and you can join via Zoom too.
There’s also going to be a private LinkedIn Group for you to network with others, ask questions and get support.
You can join in with as much or as little as you like but the more you put in – the more you get out!
3. What do I need to complete the challenge?
You’ll need a free LinkedIn account and profile and time set aside between 26-30th April 2021 to complete the challenge. Each day there will be an action you can complete and there will be a 2 x 30 minute long live Q&A session for you to ask questions in the group.
You’ll need to bring an open-mind and willingness to learn.
4. Who's this challenge aimed at?
This challenge is aimed at anyone responsible for sales and marketing in your business.
You’ll get the most value from it if you’re selling to other businesses and sales are relationship driven and not transactional.
If you’re looking for mass-market tactics, growth hacking tactics or to just play the numbers game by hitting as many people with your sales pitch sequence then this isn’t for you. I’ll teach you and show you the way but I won’t do it for you.
When marketing isn’t your primary focus or area of expertise it can get quite overwhelming and cause you to procrastinate or keep adding to your ‘i’m avoiding this’ list.
I studied engineering not marketing so I completely get it – when my old boss told me I was the best salesperson in the company I refused to believe it and only recently started talking about myself as a marketer.
Strangely I was embarrassed to admit I loved marketing – I get excited about the science behind it – the data, the psychology and strategy.
I accidentally developed a personal brand on LinkedIn whilst working as the Global Head of Sales and Marketing for a company that sold laser scanning solutions. I can attribute millions of pounds worth of sales to LinkedIn and have used it across multiple sectors and market verticals.
In 2017 I started my own business training individuals and teams how to leverage LinkedIn and running B2B Marketing Strategy Workshops.
I don’t like marketing acronyms or spammy mass-market tactics – there’s no one-size-fits-all or cookie-cutter approach to using LinkedIn but there is a framework you can use that will work in-line with your reality, your business and your audience.
My goal is to help you be successful and discover a marketing strategy that will not only work for you but be enjoyable at the same time!
